In our December spotlight, we feature Kathy Bork, a client of The Difference for more than 25 years! She talks about her lifestyle, how she originally heard about The Difference, and some of her favorite memories. Thanks for sharing your story with us, Kathy!

Currently I am retired, but I was in the business world for 35 years; part of which was teaching school. My lifestyle is very active, I spend my days volunteering, supporting grandkids and kids events, travel, cooking, socializing, and enjoying local theater and music. I am often found sporting my Difference clothes at a ballgame or golf tournament!
I first learned about The Difference when Cheryl was a guest speaker at a women’s professional group. She brought jewelry, scarves, and unique items that spoke to my dramatic style and I was eager to learn more. I love that through the years, my stylists – whether it was Cheryl or Babs – always take an interest in me and what is happening in my life or family. They often challenge me to try on things I wouldn’t have picked and I am usually pleasantly surprised at how it looks on me.
I have so many favorite memories of The Difference when I look back on more than 25 years of working with them. Once, Cheryl dressed me to ride a camel in 110 degree temperatures in the desert. She also helped me dress and feel good about myself when I was going through chemo therapy. A recent funny memory was when Babs was educating me on the different jean silhouettes. I tried on a pair of wide straight legs and immediately began to laugh. Babs said all I needed was a wheat stalk in my mouth and a straw hat to complete the “farmer in the dell” look! We could have been featured on What Not to Wear Wednesday! Really though, I do appreciate the honesty and knowledge that Babs brings in knowing what my body type and height can and can’t wear.
I tell other women that The Difference makes everyone feel welcome and special regardless of age or size. They also have a knack to help you work with those items you already have in your closet and find the perfect piece to update it for the season.
Abby is my daughter. Since she has been shopping with Daron, she has acquired an amazing wardrobe. Abby always looks very stylish whether it is for work or play. She is very confident that her outfit looks great and fits perfectly.
