Personal Stylist KC Bilder provides us with dos and don’ts for wearing shorts this summer and says any woman can pull off wearing shorts, it’s just a matter of proper fit and wearing them for the right occasion. Keep the following tips in mind:
Do find your idea inseam length for your figure and comfort. There are no rules for inseams, you just need to find the right one for you and the one you are comfortable with.
Don’t ignore the rear view. Shorts may look great from the front but might look frumpy from the back. Make sure that there isn’t too much fabric that gives you saggy bum.
Do pay attention to the leg opening. Shorts should have a straight or skinny silhouette. If the leg hole is too big, it will add bulk to your leg.
Don’t buy shorts that are too tight or too loose. Shorts should be looser than jeans. But, they need to be the right fit, not too tight and not too baggie.
Do buy quality shorts. Don’t go cheap when buying shorts. Pay attention to the fabric. It needs to be of good thickness and quality so they don’t look worn out.
Do keep it simple. Wearing shorts should be easy and breezy, pair them with a t-shirt or dress them up with wedges and a tank.
